A Riverside County Deputy Sheriff is a multifaceted individual who receives extensive training in community affairs, crime prevention, investigations, narcotics enforcement, and forensic science. Our deputies work in partnership with the community and allied agencies, and they have over 100 years of proven service and the continuing respect of our communities. Our employees are committed to the betterment of the organization and the communities they serve. The Sheriff’s Department is modernizing management, improving technology, and updating training. Uniformed deputy sheriffs are the backbone of this organization. Many of our deputies become specialists in Aviation, K-9, Hazardous Device Team, Criminal Investigations, Drug Enforcement, and much more. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department employs over 1,400 sworn peace officers and is one of the state’s largest law enforcement agencies.
